We have selected as the central feature of our proposal to use the timeless structure of a pyramid. Proposing a mix of high technology glass and concrete, we have decided to propose such a concept because it has and continues to represent strength, authority, security and durability. The design’s profiles are reminiscent of our heavy masonry forts designed and built for security and protection. It is also highly reflective of the many pitched roof structures throughout the country.
With expansive terraces and decks, we propose to provide for the theatre, for the performing arts to the east of the Central Bank, with a mixture of open and closed spaces on the west for an indoor/outdoor Junkanoo museum and tower. The open terraces and decks will accommodate Junkanoo rush outs, spaces for vendors, and areas for the public to gather for a myriad of purposes.
